Fantastic video I came across a bit randomly. Some beautiful examples of video feedback.
Augmented (hyper)Reality: Domestic Robocop from Keiichi Matsuda on Vimeo.
There are many possibilities for augmented reality. My hope is that they will be subtle, built into our existing surroundings as unassuming compliments to our corporeal lives, like the images of ubiquitous computing imagined by Malcom McCullough in Digital Ground.
Then again, they could be this dystopic future… Reminded of Blade Runner, somehow.
Making Of Nuit Blanche from Spy Films on Vimeo.
Brilliant and informative video of composite technique.
FIRE WITH FIRE from ISABELLE HAYEUR on Vimeo.
Fascinating installation in Vancouver. Great way of using visual technology to study local history.
Interesting max/jitter-based installation I stumbled across.
“The installation consisted of three laptops running MaxMSP/Jitter, my IR ardiuno box, the telly and remote. The first laptop took care of downloading, transcoding and analysing videos from youtube, the second receiving and interpreting the user’s clicks and re-sequencing and playing the audio while the third played the videos through my Rutt Etra jitter synth and visualized the youtube database.”
